LGSS Digital is building on the automated Blue Badge solution created for Cambridgeshire County Council in 2016 which automated the blue badge service end to end. We are creating a new solution which is an improved version and works seamlessly with the new DfT blue badge service. The project is a collaboration between LGSS, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes at present.

We have developed so far: - new online form - includes automatic verification of ID and address, automated discretionary matrix to establish eligibility, evidence and photo upload functionality and assessment appointment booking - case management system which enables the back office administer applications - notifications - integrations to verification cloud service, new blue badge printing service

We are currently developing iteration 2 - which includes appeals management and mediated application functionality.
