West Berkshire Council are beginning a discovery phase to look into the ways that the Pre-Planning Advice Service can make digital improvements to the current service.
A significant number of planning applications at West Berkshire Council are invalid. This means that applications are having to be rejected for re-submission. We would also like to look into how other authorities have built Pre-Validation Advice Services and the results they have seen as a result.
Our aim is to investigate and discuss how other Local Authorities are providing this service and the ways they have successfully transformed from manual processes for pre-planning advice to reduce work load, administration, duplicating work etc.
