The Childrens Health Provision team support and deliver immunisation programmes for reception, primary, secondary (yr 8/9) school children under a contract with NHS England. This is underpinned by a paper based process, where children take leaflets and consent forms home from school, they are completed by a parent/guardian and then returned.
The contract with NHSE stipulates a paperless process by 2020. We are aware of other Local Authorities that have already achieved this. Health records are stored in the SystmOne system. Recording of immunisation in SystmOne would ideally be automated. We hope to improve efficiency to allow focus on other work.

First blog post about the project. Hoping to keep adding updates as the work progresses.
