The Local Offer website is a statutory requirement for local authorities, and is required to provide information about all provision available in the area to families where a child (aged 0 - 25) has special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
Hertfordshire County Council ran a discovery project from Jan - June 2019 to support a full re-write and re-design of this website. Following the discovery, the re-write is taking place between June and December 2019.

Personas (parents who require the information on the website)
Parent empathy map
An updated website structure based on several iterations of tree-tests and card sorts
An updated website design proposal which meets the needs of users in terms of navigation and aesthetics
A collaborative approach to re-writing sections with parents
The production of the "SEND online feedback group" where parents participate in online testing - with 25% engagement on each task sent out leading to real tangible evidence of user-driven design
